Song van de maand

Over het nieuws van de afgelopen jaar (ebola, IS, Rusland etc.). Hier een luistervoorbeeldje uit de repetitie van Wooden Ships. Het eerste liedje dat onderbroken wordt met een reclameblok?

What is on the news today?

Hold your breath, viral death

Out on the streets and creeping up to you

Oh, thank God, it’s far away

What is on the news, oh dear

Mind your head, Islamic lads

Waving flags, come to slaughter you

Oh, thank God, it‘s nowhere near

And all the items that are making up our news

The scenes of madness, the apocalyptic views

Give way to game shows on our celeb TV zoo

Reduced to sidekicks in our daily fun revue

What is on the news today?

Russian troops, science scoop

Trouble in Uganda, baby panda

Facebook fake, tectonic quake

And more and even more will come your way

In just a minute, after the break

     commercial break

     Your life is imperfect

You will have a nice house if you drive this car

     Your life is imperfect

You will have lots of friends if you drink alcohol

     Your life is imperfect

You will have a slim waistline if you wear this scent

     Your life is imperfect

You must really come to Africa and see some genuinely poor people

What is on the news today?

Hold your heart, maybe art

Surely music can comfort you

And play the gloom away

some desperate singing to conclude this song

    Ladida etc.
